in a clear ziploc type 1 qt bag you can take your lipsticks, mascara's, lotions anything as long as they are in 3oz or less bottles. i recommend having them in the top part of the carryon so you can easily access them. they have to be pulled out and put through as a seperate bag.For domestic U.S. flights must all liquids, eg. cosmetics, mascaras, foundation be packed in checked luggage.?

The three ounce rule applies to liquids. Cosmetics that are not liquids - lipstick from a non-liquid tube, powders, etc. - would not be restricted.
It is the easiest way....however, you are allowed to take in your carry-on one quart-size plastic bag containing very small quantities of this type of liquid items.....anything liquid must fit in this bag!
