Cosmetic advice: Foundation Make-up Suggestions?

Hi, I have acne prone skin. I am looking for suggestions for a foundation. I want something that would make my skin look natural and matte (and provide coverage) without making me break out. I know to look for porducts that say ';NON PORE CLOGGING'; and products that say they do not contain oil, but I wanted to know what (brands, etc) have already worked. Thank you.Cosmetic advice: Foundation Make-up Suggestions?

hey there,

i have the same problem, i use this awsome foundation and secret camouflage by: Laura Mercier.

Trust me ull love it the secret camouflage literally hides acne like magic and it wont make you break out
I agree with previous poster and Bobbi Brown. She makes a great oil free foundation with spf 15, blemish stick to cover up zits and scars, and finish with her translucent loose powder on top. My skin looks so much better

All of her products are very good for acne prone skin. I used to use Estee Lauder, but they discontinued the color/brand I used. Bobbi Brown is great because she does lots of natural colors that look great on everybody.
hi there. i have acne prone skin but a foundation thats looks really natural, easy to blend in is Estee Lauder and napolean. has worked for me, as they blend in really well without making you look plastic, covers all scars and breakouts, doesnt clog skin and feels natural.

What cosmetic companies make foundations for VERY light skin?

My skin is very fair (think Dita von Teese) and I can never find a foundation that blends with my color properly. Not even MAC has a light enough color, and I currently use Clinique which is a little too yellow. Help! What cosmetic companies make foundations for VERY light skin?
Biggest recommendation:

Shiseido

I have very pale skin as well...I have found that MAC, Clinique, Elizabeth Arden, Benefit, Smashbox, and many other brands have foundations that are either too yellowy or too pink for my skin. I have cool undertones (mostly neutral but with some pink) and I found that ID Bare Minerals foundation matches me best (in the lightest shade). It is actually a skin tone colour, not yellow or pink or anything strange. Also, because it's mineral and not liquid foundation, I have been getting less pimples.

I hope this helps :]

Which Cosmetic brands has the best foundation?

Which foundation has the best flawless coverage? Covering everything from blemishes to redness, shine...etc..

That doesnt look cakey or thick...Which Cosmetic brands has the best foundation?
MAC !!!Which Cosmetic brands has the best foundation?
The best thing to do w/flawed skin is to correct it. That's going to require some commitment on your part. Improve your diet (lots of fruit and veggies) and drink lots of water; get proper sleep/rest and include a good vitamin/mineral supplement. Having said that, Aularale Skin Care %26amp; Cosmetics (www.aularale.com/7002) has one of the best skin care/cosmetics lines around and won't look cakey or thick, ashy or gray.

I like CHanel Double perfection liquid foundation. It is oil absorbing, has a SPF and it covers pretty good. Does not look cakey. It costs about 45 bucks.
First use a good medicated concealer like the one below. To cover and treat any acne.

Then use the primer by Bee-Luscious to prepare and cover any redness.

Then follow up with the Liquid Mineral Foundation. This will make you completly flawless and NOT cakey.

Laura Mercier - a little pricier but worth it. Great for all skin types, wide range of coverage for foundation too.
I just want you to know you don't have to spend $50 on a foundation for it to be good, no matter what other people will say. Covergirl Trublend works super good. But if you have oily skin, you should check out the Clean colllection by covergirl.Their website: http://www.covergirl.com/

Department store foundation vs. cosmetic counter foundation...HELP!?

They say department store foundations like CG, Loreal, Revlon, Neutrogena etc...all have bad chemicals and ingredients in them that are horrible for your skin.

SO, what type of foundation should I be buying that doesn't have these chemicals and poor ingredients? Cost is really not a ';huge'; deal. I don't want to spend a fortune however if it's comparable to clinique or Lancome prices that is just fine!

THanks SO much! If there's a best answer I will give ten points appropriately! Thanks again and again!Department store foundation vs. cosmetic counter foundation...HELP!?
CG, L'Oreal, Revlon and all them are actually drugstore foundations. Department store foundations are the ones you'll see at the mall, like Clinique, MAC, and such. The thing most people don't realize is that many drugstore brands are sub-divisions of department store brands. L'Oreal is a division of Lancome. I've heard the only difference is the pigment, which can be expensive for companies to add to their products.Department store foundation vs. cosmetic counter foundation...HELP!?
You want to be careful who is telling you that these company have harmful chemicals in them.

A lot of times this is coming from competing makeup companies.

It's not to say that all products are good for your skin, but I would make sure to wash off what ever you're using at the end of the day and you should be fine, even mineral makeup. I'm a makeup artist and wouldn't suggest to any client to sleep in mineral makeup the way the infomercials do.

They just say that to make you spend more money, just read the ingredient's on both..

In MAC Cosmetics Foundations what is the difference between NC & NW?

I just got a foundation from the MAC stand and I was matched to NW20 which the MA says means I have alot of Pink in my skin. Now does this mean that I have Warm undertones to my skin or Cool undertones? I wear gold eyeshadows, and pink gold warm lip glosses %26amp; they look good on me, but purple looks horrible %26amp; garish. Same goes for clothes, if I wear blues they tend to wash me out whereas peaches %26amp; warm coral pinks tend to bring color to my face? Soooo since the NW20 matches my skin perfectly does this mean I am a warm or a cool? I used to wear Prescriptives %26amp; when I was color matched with thier foundation I was found to be a Yellow/Orange with warm golden undertones with thier color matching pencils. The Yellow/Orange disapearred on me, but the MAC NC20 looked totally off on me %26amp; the NW20 matched perfectly. Anybody who understands MAC cosmetics please answer me on this question because I am confused, I allways thought I had warm undertones to my skin. Thankyou! :)In MAC Cosmetics Foundations what is the difference between NC %26amp; NW?
nw and nc are based really on your skin tone and how much coverage you need .

if your having trouble finding your shade ,you dont need anybodys help but yourself

i once got matched and i felt it was to dark ,so stick to what you think,

the easyest way is to match your skin tone to your neck .

also if your having trouble with your shade and your eyeshadows try using contouring to even out your skin tone and also its more of a natural lookIn MAC Cosmetics Foundations what is the difference between NC %26amp; NW?
Hey, Try this link. I somewhat found it enlightening.

Tonaboom has it ALL wrong, must not know much about mac.

NW means not warm its for cool skintones, NC means not cool and is for warm skintones, I wear NC 35 in mac foundation perfect match for my warm skintone. Report Abuse

No, no, no, hw01 - ';NC'; does not stand for ';Not Cool'; it stands for ';Neutral Cool'; and likewise ';NW'; stands for ';Neutral Warm.'; Report Abuse

You can try E-mailing a makeup artist and asking them the ingredients to the 2 products: http://www.maccosmetics.com/customerserv鈥?/a>

I e-mailed them once about a product I was interested in and I got an e-mail back within a week.

Thats all I could find. You can also go to a MAC counter and see if they could help you out too.MAC Cosmetic Foundation Ingredients???
I use only MAC make-up and I was wondering the same thing. Go to your local MAC store or counter and ask them for the list of ingredients. I asked and they had them on a card that they were able to give me.

    Good luck.

On TLC 10 yr younger there was a cosmetic featured on there with a brush attached to foundation. What is it?

probably loreal bare natural if it was a powder.
