Hi, I have acne prone skin. I am looking for suggestions for a foundation. I want something that would make my skin look natural and matte (and provide coverage) without making me break out. I know to look for porducts that say ';NON PORE CLOGGING'; and products that say they do not contain oil, but I wanted to know what (brands, etc) have already worked. Trust me ull love it the secret camouflage literally hides acne like magic and it wont make you break out
I agree with previous poster and Bobbi Brown. She makes a great oil free foundation with spf 15, blemish stick to cover up zits and scars, and finish with her translucent loose powder on top. My skin looks so much better
All of her products are very good for acne prone skin. I used to use Estee Lauder, but they discontinued the color/brand I used. Bobbi Brown is great because she does lots of natural colors that look great on everybody.

What cosmetic companies make foundations for VERY light skin?
My skin is very fair (think Dita von Teese) and I can never find a foundation that blends with my color properly. Not even MAC has a light enough color, and I currently use Clinique which is a little too yellow. Help!What cosmetic companies make foundations for VERY light skin?

I have cool undertones (mostly neutral but with some pink) and I found that ID Bare Minerals foundation matches me best (in the lightest shade). It is actually a skin tone colour, not yellow or pink or anything strange. Also, because it's mineral and not liquid foundation, I have been getting less pimples.

Improve your diet (lots of fruit and veggies) and drink lots of water; get proper sleep/rest and include a good vitamin/mineral supplement. Having said that, Aularale Skin Care %26amp; Cosmetics (www.aularale.com/7002) has one of the best skin care/cosmetics lines around and won't look cakey or thick, ashy or gray.

Department store foundation vs. cosmetic counter foundation...HELP!?
They say department store foundations like CG, Loreal, Revlon, Neutrogena etc...all have bad chemicals and ingredients in them that are horrible for your skin.
SO, what type of foundation should I be buying that doesn't have these chemicals and poor ingredients? Cost is really not a ';huge'; deal. I don't want to spend a fortune however if it's comparable to clinique or Lancome prices that is just fine!

You want to be careful who is telling you that these company have harmful chemicals in them.
A lot of times this is coming from competing makeup companies.
It's not to say that all products are good for your skin, but I would make sure to wash off what ever you're using at the end of the day and you should be fine, even mineral makeup. I'm a makeup artist and wouldn't suggest to any client to sleep in mineral makeup the way the infomercials do.

In MAC Cosmetics Foundations what is the difference between NC & NW?
I just got a foundation from the MAC stand and I was matched to NW20 which the MA says means I have alot of Pink in my skin. Now does this mean that I have Warm undertones to my skin or Cool undertones? I wear gold eyeshadows, and pink gold warm lip glosses %26amp; they look good on me, but purple looks horrible %26amp; garish. Same goes for clothes, if I wear blues they tend to wash me out whereas peaches %26amp; warm coral pinks tend to bring color to my face? Soooo since the NW20 matches my skin perfectly does this mean I am a warm or a cool? I used to wear Prescriptives %26amp; when I was color matched with thier foundation I was found to be a Yellow/Orange with warm golden undertones with thier color matching pencils. The Yellow/Orange disapearred on me, but the MAC NC20 looked totally off on me %26amp; the NW20 matched perfectly. Anybody who understands MAC cosmetics please answer me on this question because I am confused, I allways thought I had warm undertones to my skin. as a frequent traveller, i need something that lasts for 12 hours without smudges or runny in any kind of weather. i always opted for Double Wear Estee Lauder liquid foundation. This is a full coverage foundation. Infact, thanks to this foundation, my make up actually lasted more than 12 hours. My face looked fresh and not a sign of tiredness. they stopped bringing it into the country for a year now. But good news is they are relaunching it back sometime this month.
As for concealer, i did not use any. This foundation is enough to do the job.
Ive tried MAC before but it wasnt as good as Estee Lauder.

To avoid having to touch up (powder) your face too many times, dont use moisturiser before putting on foundation coz our weather is hot. Put on foundation followed by loose powder (not compact powder). Keep compact powder in your bag incase if u need it, which is unlikely unless if your face is oily. The best for me was CLINIQUE it works really good, plus its healthier for your skin than other products. The only thing you probably wouldnt like is that its more of a thin coat base. You can get clinque at dillards. REVELON is also a good brand and more affordable. You can get it a wal-mart, cvs, wal-greens, and many other places. I use revelon most of the time because it stays on all day, its more of a thick coat base.

The Body Shop range are the best suited my type of skin...their make up range and tools are also great and well suited my skin..at the current i'm using 'Oil Free Balancing Liquid Foundation SPF 15 NO. 07 ( feels very light and wont feel any oily on your face ) and as for my concealer is the 'Tea Tree Oil Cover Stick No. 01..perfect to conceal your dark eyebags..cover all this with a Loose Powder.
All of this recommendations was been given by my favourite Make Up Artist name 'Azza'..you can meet her at The Body Shop-KLCC, Lower Ground.. always ask her things you need to know about make up and ask her to do a sample on your face..she will always glad to do it for you..!

the nw ones are more pinky toned while the nc are yellow toned.
it really depends on your skin pigment not where your from

I usually have really clear skin and dont wear a lot of foundation but I've recently taken on a lot of extra work and my skin is screaming at me for it - all blotchy and dry in places and the odd spot. I have very dry skin anyway and have to moisturise at least 3 times daily. I have a really good moisturiser but it's not helping the bumpyness and blotchyness of my face! I don't like wearing a lot of makeup but how can i disguise this uneveness??Cosmetics help - Skin outbreaks + Foundation?
I'd suggest going to see a dermatologist to see if there's other reasons besides stress to cause your skin to be bumpy. Have you changed any part of your skin care routine over the past 3 months? Have you used your moisturiser for a long time? is it in jar packaging? How long have you had your current container? Could be that your moisturiser has become contamintaed - it can happen if it's in a jar.
Make up won't disguise the bumpiness bit it may help disguise the blotchiness. If your skin is red, you can treat it before you apply make up. One option is Clinique which has a new product line out (redness solutions) which is apparently good. You might want to use a facial scrub a couple of times a week or a microderm abrasion treatment to even out your skin and to get rid of the dead skin cells. I would agree that a visit to the dermatologist might be first and foremost.
I would also suggest a mineral makeup, but you might want to reconsider bare minerals as it seems you have a sensitivity right now and the Bismuth in Bare Minerals might make things worse at this point. That is why I switched to a comparable brand that does not contain Bismuth. Good luck!

I'm 13 years old, I use a little bit of eyeliner sometimes, and a tiny bit of lipgloss. I'm thinking about using Foundation or Concealer. Which one should I use which would be most appropriate for a 13 year old?
I don't want to overload on this, and I just need tips. But anyways, should I even be using Foundation and/or Concealer? I'm probably only going to use it to cover up blemishes[my face is kinda blotchy too].

Powder usually looks really flaky so I wouldn't recommend it!Use a moisturizing foundation, or else it'll just dry out your face. The Rimmel foundation with the pink cap gives you a great glow and doesn't look chalky.
Just remember to wash it off with a mild soap at night so you dont break out!

ok well concealor is just that it is to conceal things you wanf hidden such a dark circles or a zit. foundatiion is to give the skin an all over even tone. they are not the same at all. you put concealor on first to hide things then i would brush on a very light coating of mineral powder foundation. not liquid to heavy! a simple rose blush on apples of cheeks a little light gloss and simple eyes such as a light dusting of a shimmery pink eyeshadow and very light mascara. be young a little goes a long way don't over do it! it looks like your trying to hard that way. I confess - I am a MAC Diva. I use several MAC Foundations including Hyperreal, Studio Fix, Studio Tech and Select SPF.
Here's how I apply them:
Studio Fix - since it's a powder foundation I use a powder brush. I started off with MAC's own powder brush but then switched to Smashbox's #1 powder brush because it's a lot better than MAC. When I first started using Studio Fix, I used the sponge that came with it but noticed a lot of product was wasted and a makeup artist recommended that I use a brush with SF and I haven't looked back since.
Hyperreal and Select SPF - these are liquids and you can use either your fingers, a sponge or a brush. I have always used MAC's #190 foundation brush. It's brilliant at getting right coverage and evenly distributing the foundation.
Studio Tech - this cream foundation is heavenly because it covers every single blemish! Even though this one comes with a sponge, I use the 190 brush when applying this. The brush minimises wastage and there is a noticeable improvement in the coverage when ST is applied with a brush. It also looks more natural because the sponge can give a rather artificial finish.

i work for the estee lauder cosmetics store and MAC is under estee lauder. we sale their products and i can tell you right now their foundation is harder to match because it goes by numbers and rather your a warm, cool, or neutral tone. all of their foundations are really orange looking and even when you go to a MAC counter to get matched sometimes your color still be a little off point. you should try prescriptives. they have alot of different tones and it has spf in it. oil free and non acnegenic. their virtually fresh and flawless skin liquid foundations are best sellers
How about going to Sephora, every time I have gone into MAC it seems like no-one ever wants to help me. It seems snobby to me...it's up to you though. However If you go into a store like that they will be able to mix a custom shade for you. Good Luck!!

If both of those match your skin tone than GOOD. But as for your under eye circles go for the first website. I use Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse for the same problem and thats just about the same as that first one and it works really WELL! But as for your red, dark areas go with the liquid one! If you do the first one then it would show and you could get dry patches on your marks and that would show HORRIBLY! But liquid blends in more and will do the job.
Basically go for both of them to fix your problems! I hope I helped.

Neither the best of the best from personal experience is Bee Luscious Cosmetics Liquid Powder Mineral Foundation... The colors are gorgeous and they melt into your skin tones for a flawless full coverage yet super light feel. I can't stop raving about it because of the compliments I get and how I see myself in the mirror every morning. If you do the first one then it would show and you could get dry patches on your marks and that would show HORRIBLY! But liquid blends in more and will do the job.

Honestly, people are going to say MAC and I think they have the worst foundation. The best in my opinion is Make Up For Ever. You need very little and it definitely goes a long way. Also some of their concealers have ingredients that help clear acne. Make Up For Ever was MAC before MAC was MAC and MAC should have taken some tips from Make Up For Ever before they branched off to do their own thing. MAC is cheaper but Make Up For Ever is worth the 35-40 dollars you will pay. I have tried every type of make up, every brand, every type of foundation and I have never found a foundation like Make Up Forever. I was using the Mat Velvet which is amazing and I just started using the HD foundation, which is also amazing! I am not one of those people that has to spend a ridiculous amount on makeup but when it comes to foundation I am willing to spend a little more. I honestly can't say enough good things about Make Up For Ever. But it does go on great with the MAC 187 stippling brush.

I live in Australia and shipping is about $70 USD.Where can I purchase Bee Luscious Cosmetics (foundation) other than the Bee Royal Products online store?
I have lived in many different states and a few countries because of my husbands work. I have been using Bee Luscious Cosmetics for sometime now and their customer service is AMAZING I love it how they always cater to my needs. They did ship 4 of my orders to Germany when we were out their it was the postal service and it did take 3 weeks , then since I use so many products they said that any package 1-5 pounds in weight UPS was the same price. So I waited and placed an order for like 8 products and rec.it UPS in 5 days to Germany the cost was high but not that bad since it was literally a 10+ month supply I purchased. Either way I would call customer service and talk to them so they can give you the best options. I want to add their products are FABULOUS !!!! I will never wear anything else again ..They have totally spoiled me !Where can I purchase Bee Luscious Cosmetics (foundation) other than the Bee Royal Products online store?

It took a bit longer than UPS but she was fine with that. I don't know if they have it available in stores yet. I was talking to one of their reps. a couple days ago and she told me they are planning on franchising some spas. She wouldn't tell me where or how many.

The colors are very true to the screen (i got a bunch of samples and my friends used them) and it must have been a fluke. I have bought so much make up there .. actually all of it!! And their skin care and dietary supplement line is high on my list too. This stuff is AWESOME! There is a 18 year old that works for them .. maybe 19? I've just received the Liquid Powder Mineral Foundation in shade porcelain and was really disappointed to find it's REALLY dark - much darker than the colour sample online. Do people generally find the colour samples aren't a true representation of the real shades??

Foundation:
pick #1) M.A.C. Studio Fix (a little on the heavy side, but if you use a brush instead of the sponge that comes with it, and go over your face lightly, it is the best as far as giving you good coverage with no shine)
pick #2) Bare Escentuals I.D. (but make sure you buy the tinted mineral veil to go over the foundation. Gives it a matte look with absolutely no T-zone shine)

Iman has a great cosmetic line, PRESCRIPTIVES also has great foundations and concealors and if they do not have the perfect color to fit your need there are some stores that will custom blend (make a foundation, powder and concealor ) for you!Bsm Trading SRL

It only comes in 1 shade so i'm not so sure how good it would be. It's rated as a really good product though. Any advice would help! I love this foundation when I am having a good skin day. It is really lightweight, has silicone on it so it glides on smoothly. It is only a light coverage, so if you are trying to cover a lot of redness, this may not be the foundation for you. I LOVE Mac foundation (SP15, not the newest one that came out) and it's the best brand of make-up I've ever used. However, it easily smears and when I hugged my boyfriend, his white shirt was stained.

i really like clinique foundation. i'm 16, and like you..i have annoying acne occasionally. so clinique is a great option since it's hypoallergenic, meaning it won't clog pores..and also, it offers a variety of shades, formulas, etc. so you can find a shade that matches your skin tone and a well suited formula depending on whether you favor light, medium, or more coverage.

I love LA Minerals stuff. I wear their foundation, veil, bronzer, and i have lots of their eyeshadows.
I also love Avons waterproof glimmersticks eyeliner.

Use mineral makeup. It's actually good for your skin as opposed to other commercial products. It's getting more and more popular so name brands are selling it now (I'm not sure which ones). A popular brand is Bare Essentials that you may be able to find in stores. My favorite brand is Monave which you can order online.
It's really important to match your skin tone so going to a professional is your best bet for that. MAC cosmetics (which are coming out with mineral makeup, if not already) have professionals that are really good at matching the foundation/concealer to skin tones. The MAC cosmetics are really good also (your skin might break out a bit though-- won't find out until you try!).
In terms of what you should get: I would get a type of foundation or concealer and put that on your trouble spots right after moisturizing. Then get a powder of the same shade and apply it over the foundation using a brush.

It will cover up the red spots that shine through other makeup and if you fall asleep with it on, you wont wake up with more acne. I had bad acne all my freshman year and once i was using retin-a and bare minerals (along with other great acne clearing products) my acne cleared up so quickly. Now i can wear no make-up when i leave my house. I still use bare minerals and if i wear make up i only wear that. Bare Minerals is sold at Ulta and other beauty stores. I would recommend having someone who works with bare minerals tell you which shade to use and then buy a starter kit.
I suggest you use a highly pigmented concealer like cinema secrets or Laura Mercier. By the way,
